The Guam National Olympic Committee will host the Oceania Sport Education Program (OSEP) Community Strength and Conditioning Coach course from September 28 to October 1, 2022, at the Guam National Olympic Committee in Maite.  The course will be held from 4:30p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on September 28 to 30 and from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on October 1.

“We currently have eight regional participants from our neighboring islands who will be partaking in the course along with our local coaches.” according to Miranda.

The Community Strength & Conditioning Coach training program will provide aspiring coaches with the skills to use the functional movement screen to develop appropriate conditioning training for athletes and help meet the demands of their specific sport and develop periodization plans and fitness tests to check progress of athletes.

Registration is ongoing for all coaches at https://forms.gle/yLqfcxnDXwjLMMqNA.  For more information, you may contact Joey Miranda III at joey@guamnoc.org.
