Monday, April 22, 2024 – MAITE, GUAM

The third day of the OSEP Management In Sporting Organization course focused on Safeguarding and Planning for Development.

The RMEs covered planning for development which included the Guam National Olympic Committee Games Preparatory Guidelines, Administrative Check List for Team Guam, the Team preparation phases, and Athlete and Officials Database.  

Discussions on the implementation of a Sports Development Officer and group work on upskilling National Federation officers, coaching staff, and team officials were also part of the activities for Module 7.  

Guam Safeguarding Officer Sandra Miller provided a synopsis of the ongoing activities of the Guam National Olympic Committee Executives as their view process is well underway.  She also provided detailed information on the reporting structure and implementation of each National Federation’s policies.

The night ended with a review of the evening’s topics and the outline of the presentations that will be held on Saturday, April 27, 2024, to the Guam NOC Board of Directors.
